I am committed to contribute to the LGBTQ+ community.
As an openly gay man who grew up in the conservative Asian household and society, I understand first-hand the challenges of living in Japan as an LGBTQ+-identifying individual.
I even went through multiple phases of depression as I explored my sexuality. In these challenging times, I was supported by many role models and organizations in the community.
With the hope of supporting people who are going through similar experiences, I am offering different support (mostly pro-bono or low-bono).
Please feel free to contact me any time if you think I could support you.
Daiki X Pride House Tokyo
I worked as a staff member of Pride House Tokyo, an non-profit organization based in Tokyo that supports the LGBTQ+ community in Japan.
Since I have professional experience in design, business development, and consulting, I was primarily responsible for creating the corporate sponsorship program and managing relationships with the corporate partners.
I also created digital and print graphics, such as leaflets, posters, and social media graphics.
Past works
I gave a talk at Uber Japan
Mr Gay Japan, I gave a talk to Uber Japan and shared my experience as a double minority living in Japan.
I also talked about my perspectives on the inclusive workplace – particularly on ways to create such a workplace and its importance for the businesses.
I have been selected for Mr Gay Japan 2023!
Mr Gay Japan, Japan’s first and only gay pageant, was held with the internationally recognized beauty pageant, Miss Grand Japan, in Tokyo on July 16th.
After a rigorous assessment of the finalists’ past activities within the LGBTQ+ community and their speeches, I was crowned Mr Gay Japan 2023, making me the sixth Mr Gay Japan.
